AMC's hit zombie series The Walking Dead continues to garner optimal interest for its upcoming season, which will once again include the likes of the Governor (David Morrissey).

According to writer Michael Ausiello of TVLine on July 23, it appears as though the former dictator of Woodbury will be feautred in two of his own installments in season 4.

"I can tell you that [The Governor] will have a major presence in at least two Season 4 episodes, both of which are being unofficially billed as "standalone Governor" installments. No specific intel on when those episodes will air, but I hear they'll likely fall in the first chunk of eight," he said.

Although no official confirmation has yet to be given on the two standalone episodes, the respective scenario isn't one that would be far-fetched to the creative brass, as season 3 featured standalones for both the prison and Woodbury locations.

The last time the Governor was seen, he and his two henchmen Shumpert and Martinez were seen making their exit from Woodbury.

Season 4 to feature a 'radically different' Governor?
