Moses J. Moseley Kidnapped, Murdered?

In early reports, Moseley's family spoke out about his cause of death, saying he did not commit the gunshot wound in his head; instead, he was kidnapped and killed.

The actor's sister, Teerea Kimbro, previously claimed her brother had scheduled filming for a project before authorities discovered his remains.

He never showed up on set, and his relatives had not heard any news from him for a few days leading them to search a nearby hospital, but they were unsuccessful in locating him.

When Moseley's body was discovered, the car doors were locked, and a firearm was seen on his lap.

Kimbro later confirmed the pistol was one of hers, saying she and his brother liked traveling to a gun rage together.

Police Captain Randy Lee released a statement at the time, saying the case is still being investigated as a possible suicide. Still, detectives are digging deeper into all available avenues and "not ruling out foul play."

At the time of this writing, Kimbro has not publicly commented in the recent reports about her brother's death.
