Elton John almost suffered a terrifying accident as his private jet was caught suffered a failure while he was on his way to the United States for a concert. How is the singer doing?

According to The Sun, the "Your Song" hitmaker's aircraft twice aborted landing as harsh winds went up to 80 miles per hour.

Fire crews immediately rushed to Farnborough Airport in Hants to wait for the private jet to land.

Per an onlooker, the jet was "being buffeted and couldn't land." The incident was described as "horrible" by a witness.

Regarding the music icon's condition after the mishap, the outlet noted that he was "shaken" by what happened, but he was able to fly to the US for his concert in New York City.

Per Daily Mail UK, the incident happened shortly after his $90 million aircraft departed the airport for the Big Apple at around 10:20 a.m.

The private jet then suffered a hydraulic failure at around 10,000 feet. The pilot was forced to make a U-turn facing the coast of southern Ireland.

The unnamed man headed back to Farnborough, Hampshire, and radioed air traffic control to advise them for an emergency landing.

Firefighters and a medical team were alerted shortly after. They rushed to the aircraft when it landed.

Witness Philip Thomson recalled the weather is terrible, and the "epic gusts made it almost impossible to land."

The private jet's nose was said to be "far too verticle," and it gave up while trying to hit the tarmac on the runway.

"A crowd had gathered after word went around that Elton was in difficulty. And as the plane came around again for a second attempt to land, the storm was doing its worst," he added.

At the time of this writing, Elton John has not publicly commented on the matter.

Elton John Suffered an Accident a Few Months Before the Private Jet Mishap

Months before the recent incident, Elton John suffered an accident that left him in "considerable pain and discomfort." The singer reportedly had hip surgery to get back to his everyday life.

Back in September, the pop star said in an interview that his movements were restricted around his hip joint as he had problems going in and out of a vehicle.

Due to the accident, John was forced to cancel the remaining dates of his the United Kingdom and European tour dates, saying he's not 100% fit to perform because he's "in pain" most of the time.
