It's been years since Seth Meyers graced the stage of "Saturday Night Live," and many fans have been missing his unique sense of humor and way of hosting. However, it seems like he won't be returning to the comedy show anymore.

Speaking to ET Online, the 48-year-old TV presenter sets the record straight on whether he'll be back on "SNL" or not.

For more than a decade, the "Late Night" host previously worked on the Emmy Award-winning sketch series. He was a cast member, head writer, and the host of "Weekend Update" all simultaneously. He left in 2014.

Explaining his decision regarding his hosting duties, Meyers said he won't return to the show anymore as he's "too old."

He returned to the late-night comedy series in 2018, and he felt like "an athlete who lost like 10 miles off his fastball."

In addition, Meyers explained it's so hard to be on stage, and he's impressed with the current cast members who are still doing it.

"It was the best but it was a young man's game," he added.

Speaking further about another reason he's not up for the challenge to return to the show, the TV host said it's also because of his children, and he's not cut out for it anymore when he had kids.

Despite not spending time with his previous co-stars, which include a line of comedians and TV personalities, Meyers is rooting for one "SNL" cast member.

Last week, Deadline reported that Pete Davidson would star in a show "Bupkis," where he will play a a fictional version of himself. Lorne Michaels produces the series.

The host said he's looking forward to Kim Kardashian's boyfriend's new gig as he always enjoyed what he's done in the past.

He also commended the Staten Island native for doing a "fantastic job" of being honest about himself on the show, which is why many people have been connected to him.

Seth Meyer's Picture Book

In recent updates about Meyers, the host also released a children's book to help kids face their biggest fears.

The picture book is titled "I'm Not Sared, You're Scared," which revolves around a character named Bear that goes on an adventure with his friend, Rabbit.
