Tiger Woods might be on the field again sooner than expected.

For months, fans have been questioning whether Woods would be back to the sports sooner as he recovers from the injuries caused by the single-car crash.

He has shown positive progress in recovery while completing his rehabilitation and further treatments. However, the World's No. 1 was still wearing a compression sleeve when the public saw him in Las Vegas.

But now, the 46-year-old seemingly expressed that he is ready to rumble again.

Tiger Woods Joining 2022 Masters?

On the 2022 Masters tournament's official website, Woods' name still appears alongside the players who are expected to compete in the PGA Tour event. The tournament will take place from April 7 to 10 in Augusta, Georgia.

Although Woods himself has not released a confirmation about his return yet, Golf Channel clarified that the players would remain on the list until they formally express their desire not to be part of the event.

It also noted that it might not be the case at all.

While the 2022 Masters tournament is only a few weeks away already, Woods could reportedly quit as late as the week of the event. For now, the news outlet and his fans do not have anything to hold on to except the fact that Woods assured the fans last month that he can walk on a treadmill all day already.

Woods, however, also noted that walking on a golf course is different since there are a lot of bumps and undulations in the area.

"I wish I could tell you when I'm playing again," he said, as quoted by PEOPLE. "I want to know, but I don't. My golf activity has been very limited. I can chip and putt really well and hit short irons very well, but I haven't done any long stuff seriously. I'm still working. Like at the PNC, I'm still working on the walking part."

It is worth noting that he has been trying to return little by little since last year.

In December 2021, he and his 12-year-old son, Charlie Woods, appeared in the PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. When Woods participated in the event, he called it an exciting way to end his long and challenging year.

As of press time, it remains unknown whether Woods will participate in the Masters. But he has not appeared and won in the event since 2019.
