Apple Watts sustained severe and life-threatening injuries following a car accident in California, reports revealed.

On Wednesday morning, Watts was reportedly traveling on Northbound 1-15 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The 36-year-old's black Mercedes suddenly collided with a Ford F250 pickup truck, causing her car to flip multiple times before bursting into flames.

California Highway Patrol Officer Ramon Duran confirmed the tragic event to PEOPLE, saying that Watts was pulled from her car by a passenger in the pickup truck. She was then transported to a University Medical Center in Las Vegas due to major injuries that put her into life support.

Her family has not released an official statement yet, but her sister exclusively told The Shade Room that the "Love & Hip Hop" star remains unresponsive as of press time.

She also detailed that Watts' injuries include a broken spine, shattered arm, and fractured skull. With these, they are expecting that the reality star would face difficulties with her usual functions like walking and feeding herself.

The authorities have since launched a probe to determine what caused the accident. But drugs and alcohol have already been ruled out as potential drivers of the accident.

Meanwhile, a woman who claimed to be the reality star's cousin penned a message on Facebook, asking everyone to offer their prayers.

"I'm very saddened by the news of my cousin. You know family is the first real friends you have in life... especially when your cousins and you guys grow up as kids or teens together," she wrote, as quoted by Daily Mail. "Cousin I'm praying for you!! I'm praying God keeps your sons covered."

Apple Watts' Career Revisited

Watts' accident happened years after the reality star joined "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" Season 5 in 2018.

Initially, she worked as a stripper and appeared in several music videos of Chris Brown, Future, and Ty Dolla $ign. Watts then left her career as a dancer and became a music artist.

In the show, A1 and RoccStar tried to win her, but it only caused the duo's rivalry. Watts also worked with Shun Love but did not last long since they argued over her past.

She also faced heartbreak during her appearance, as she underwent a DNA test to know whether her reported biological father, John Watts, was related to her. Unfortunately, the result confirmed they were not related at all.
