To the excitement of its many fans, AMC's hit zombie TV series, The Walking Dead, the program is currently in the thick of filming its upcoming fourth installment.

Newsarama recently caught up with one of its producers David Alpert, who dished on what lies ahead for the Governor (David Morrissey) moving forward.

"I would say if he returns to the main group, it is going to have a giant impact. Given all the changes that have already happened from the book, especially in Season 3, Andrea dying, Tyrese's role changing, all that stuff coming in a different way. All of that will necessitate that if he returns, it will have to be in a different way," he said.

The producer was also queried on how the creative brass managed to effectively juggle the onscreen times of the various cast members, especially with the new talent joining the mix.

"Honestly, we have a great cast, we have a big cast, so it's hard to make sure you're servicing all of that. But I think the source material gives us such a great road map to make sure the plots are advancing, and our actors are so fantastic that they really bring something extra to those roles," Alpert stated.
