Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck seemingly set aside an important step after confirming their engagement.

After a paparazzo spotted Lopez with a new engagement ring, the actress herself confirmed the news through her On the JLo newsletter. She shared the message to fans alongside a clip of Lopez flaunting her huge, green stone on a silver band that she wears on her ring finger.

"I've realized there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green," she shared. "Maybe you can remember a certain green dress."

Despite their engagement, the couple is seemingly taking all of their time to enjoy their days after the engagement as a source revealed that they are yet to talk about their wedding.

A source told PEOPLE that, despite Lopez's admiration for her ring, the 52-year-old actress and her beau crossed out the wedding talks for now.

This explained why it them him days before revealing the news to the public.

It marked their second engagement after postponing the first one where Affleck offered her a 6.1-carat pink diamond from Harry Winston. The two dated from 2002 to 2004 after meeting on the set of the 2002 movie "Gigli."

The "Justice League" actor married Jennifer Garner instead after postponing his wedding to Lopez and breaking up for good in January 2004.

Although they waited for nearly two decades before they got their chance again, Lopez recently disclosed how they grew more mature now compared to 18 years ago.

"It's a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other," Lopez told PEOPLE. "We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions."

Lopez added that they live their lives in a way they can be proud of, and that is what the most important to them.

Meanwhile, Affleck has since expressed his happiness after feeling lucky to have been given second chances in his work and personal life. He told WSJ magazine that, despite his failures, he managed to fix himself and got back up again.

The actor also said that, while he has not always been successful, the issues he went through became the defining aspects of his life.
