A$AP Rocky and Rihanna's Barbados vacation took an unexpected turn.

The 33-year-old rapper was arrested in Los Angeles in connection with a November 2021 shooting.

A$AP Rocky, whose actual name is Rakim Mayers, landed at Los Angeles International Airport on a private jet following a trip to Barbados with his pregnant fiancée.

Authorities, however, were already waiting for him at the airport, with many reports claiming that he was led out of the terminal in handcuffs.

However, TMZ stated that following his arrest, the "Praise The Lord" hitmaker secured $550,000 bond.

But how does Rihanna feel about the whole thing?

Rihanna's Pregnancy Status Following A$AP Rocky's Arrest

In the aftermath of her boyfriend's incarceration, Rihanna is said to be concentrating on her pregnancy.

According to an insider who spoke to ET, the entire issue is the farthest thing from the "Diamond" hitmaker's mind.

"She wants to be calm, comfortable, and completely focused on the arrival of her kid - not stressed out!"

The arrest, according to the source, was an unanticipated incident, especially given that he faces a decade in prison if convicted.

A$AP Rocky Facing A Prison Sentence Of More Than A Decade

If convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon, A$AP Rocky could face up to 14 years in prison.

According to criminal lawyer Lara Yeretsian, who talked to Hollywood Life, it's probable that the rapper may be imprisoned for some time and may miss the birth of his expectant child.

She indicated that she may face a four-year prison sentence for assault with a dangerous weapon, with a required minimum of six months.

The expert went on to explain that if the District Attorney's office decides to pursue an enhancement for the personal use of a pistol, A$AP Rocky might face a harsher prison sentence.

"If the enhancement is filed," Yeretsian continued, "he would face an extra sentence of 3, 4, or 10 years."

"Of course, the court has the authority to strike or reject the addition." In other words, if convicted of the charges, the soon-to-be father could face a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 14 years in prison."
