Naked footage of Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams and co-star, Patrick J. Adams, which was illegally taken during the actor's performance in the Broadway play Take Me Out, has been leaked on the internet.

Take Me Out follows the story of a gay baseball player, played by Jessie Williams, as he struggles to tell the rest of his team that he is gay. The play is a beautiful and powerful tale, that fills the theater with raw emotion. Williams was nominated for a 2022 Tony Award for his performance in the play which is also his Broadway debut.

This show is incredibly intimate, both emotionally and literally. There is a scene in which Williams is on stage naked. In order to protect the privacy of the actor, the theater held a particularly strict no-phones policy in which theater goers had to place their phones in a special bag during the entierty of the show.

One audience member, however, snuck their phone in and took footage of the performer.

The footage was leaked online.

Williams had previously voiced his concerns about appearing naked on stage. In an interview with Page Six, he had shared:

"I was terrified...but then I noted that that was what I asked God for. I asked to be terrified. I asked to do something that was scary and challenging and made me earn it and made me feel alive and not comfortable."

Adams previously shared with Daily News that the heightened phone restrictions made them feel, "safe."

"That alone is the greatest gift, of having the phones away. It's certainly nice to know that we're safe on stage, being naked and not being recorded. But that people are connecting is a great byproduct of that."

It is disgusting that that trust has been violated. We are so sorry that this has happened, to both Williams and Adams, and we would like to congratualte them on their hard work on this production.
