Joshua Henry and Gavin Creel just did a "Stay With Me" mash-up, and it is the best thing we have ever heard.

We have known that Joshua Henry and Gavin Creel are absolutely brilliant, multi-talented performers for a long time now. The two, each with impressive theatrical resumes, are getting ready to star as the princes in the upcoming Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's classic musical Into the Woods. Something that is particularly special about Sondheim is the timelessness of his work. With every new revival, the story remains relevant and compelling. This becomes especially evident when people take modern twists with the classic music. Just today, Joshua Henry and Gavin Creel did exactly that.

Fans of Into the Woods know that one of the most beautiful songs in the show is a ballad the witch sings titled "Stay With Me." As fans of popular radio know, the incredible Sam Smith also has an incredible song that goes by the same title. The two Broadway stars took to TikTok singing an incredible mash-up of the two songs. Honestly, we don't have to listen to either song on its own again. This is perfect. The guitar plus the MASSIVE theatre-kid-stairwell-singing energy makes this not only one of the best songs but one of the best videos to come out in so long.

We can't wait to check out the Broadway revival of Into the Woods. Best of luck to everyone involved in the project. Until we can see it, we are going to be playing this mash-up over and over and over and over and over again.
