Jennifer Lopez dropped a big hint about whether or not she would use Ben Affleck's last name now that they are married.

Following their engagement in April 2022, Affleck and Lopez finally obtained a marriage license and tied the knot officially.

The court records obtained by CNN and PEOPLE showed that the couple got married over the weekend in a small ceremony.

Following the news, the actress' past dream of using Affleck's last name reemerged.

In 2003, the "Ben & Jen: A Dateline Special" was released during the couple's first engagement. At that time, Lopez told Pat O'Brien that she wanted to take the "Justice League" actor's last name.

"A week after you're married, what will your name be?" O'Brien asked, to which she replied, "I think I'm going to stay with Jennifer Lopez, but my name will be Jennifer Affleck, obviously."

O'Brien then said that Jennifer Affleck was a good name.

Lopez and Affleck began dating in 2002 after meeting on the set of "Gigli." They announced their engagement in the same year, but they, unfortunately, broke up in January 2004.

The now-married couple went on to marry different people and share children with them. The actor has three children with Jennifer Garner - Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

Meanwhile, Lopez shares twins Emme Maribel and Maximilian with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.

"It's a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other. We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions," the "Marry Me" singer said months before the marriage.

"Their relationship is different this time because they are older, more mature, and able to deal with any obstacles. They are both taking their relationship very seriously. They want to make it work no matter what," one of the insiders said.

Lopez already acknowledged their growth compared to 18 years ago. The "Maid in Manhattan" star said that they currently live their lives in a way they can be proud and happy of.

For Affleck's part, he told WSJ magazine that he fixed himself and scored his second chances in his work and personal life.
