It takes a lot of effort to raise a family, especially with Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and the actor's ex Sheree Zampino. Recently, the reality star opened up about how they all made it work and gave an insight to fans about their rocky beginning.

In an interview with "Behind the Velvet Rope" podcast, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star shared how she was able to co-parent with Will as he started dating Jada back then.

The TV star noted that there are three different dynamics, personalities, belief systems, and the way they approach things.

It wasn't easy for them at first as she admitted that they have "bumped heads" first.

"But listen, we get back on that horse and we press on. We do what we have to do because again, at the end of the day, it's about the kids. We have a responsibility to them," she clarified. (via People Magazine)

The trio eventually made amends and co-parenting got easier for them as they learned how to have a "mutual respect" for each other especially when Jada started treating Trey like her own son.

Sheree further explained that the relationship of co-parenting isn't about her and "The Matrix" actress, but rather how the latter treats her son.

"It was like, 'As long as she treats him well, we're good. We're good.' And she's treated him well and she's loved him," she went on.

The reality star further explained her dynamic with the "Red Table Talk" host is special, saying mothers sometimes get jealous because another woman is treating her kid correctly, but she realized that all moms wanted to treat their child right.

Jada and Sheree's relationship has come a long way as they are now better than ever. In an episode of "Red Table Talk" last year, the actress opened up her sisterhood with the former, saying it took them 20 years to sort things out.

"It was really a transformation for all of us. Having a blended family and getting to a place where there was ease, there was ease with it," she said.

The host added that having complete acceptance of each other's "nonsense" is also a big factor in how their relationship worked.

Will and Sheree share a 29-year-old son, Trey, while Jada's children are Jaden and Willow.
