Jada Pinkett Smith will speak candidly about the "complicated" marriage she had with Will Smith before the Oscar blunder happened.

The Smith family had been under public scrutiny after the actor's infamous slap to Chris Rock during the Oscars. As they continue to heal from the event, Pinkett Smith is moving forward through a new memoir.

PEOPLE shared the press release it obtained regarding the 51-year-old star's yet-to-be-titled memoir. She will reportedly have it published through Dey Street Books.

"[The memoir] chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey - a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power," it said.

Pinkett Smith's book will reportedly have no holds barred as she tells her life story, including her complicated relationship with Smith. It will be part of the "heart of the powerful book" and will also include the unexpected love story of Pinkett Smith falling in love with herself.

Dey Street Books VP and editorial director Carrie Thornton already expressed the company's excitement in sharing Pinkett Smith's story with the world.

Details about the complicated relationship between the two are yet to be publicized, but the memoir will follow Will's bestselling 2021 memoir, "Will," and the blunder he committed at the Oscars.

What Made Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith's Marriage Complicated

Although the details are not yet known, the couple publicly shared how their relationship hit rock bottom.

Years ago, the talk show host had a secret entanglement with August Alsina. It reportedly happened around four and a half years ago while she was separated from Will.

The "King Richard" actor said they decided to split at that time so they could find out how to make themselves happy.

The two tied the knot in 1997 and share two children together.

After the couple's "Red Table Talk" episode conversation, Smith became the subject of the "Crying Will Smith Meme." He addressed it on his YouTube video, saying that his eyes only looked watery because he drank so much coffee and left his body dehydrated.
