Jane Fonda is now regretting one thing about getting a facelift.

Fonda, unfortunately, became one of those celebrities who ultimately regretted getting a facelift. In fact, she recently opened up about her not-so-proud moment after her past plastic surgery procedure.

On Tuesday, Vogue shared its exclusive interview with the 84-year-old actress. During the discussion, she became candid about going under the knife and receiving treatment.

Instead of longtime enhancement, Fonda reportedly scored a distorted face.

"I had a facelift and I stopped because I don't want to look distorted. I'm not proud of the fact that I had [one]. Now, I don't know if I had it to do over if I would do it. But I did it. I admit it, and then I just say, okay, you can get addicted. Don't keep doing it. A lot of women, I don't know, they're addicted to it," she said, as quoted by Fox News.

Still, she revealed that face creams are not part of her skincare routine but assured that she always moisturizes her skin. She also gets enough sleep and stays out of the sun as much as possible.

Fonda also reflected on feeling youthful despite being in her 80s. For the actress, she does not feel like she is already that old.

Why Did Jane Fonda Undergo Plastic Surgery?

Fonda has been open about her plastic surgery journey. In fact, she has a saddening reason why she chose to receive it in the past.

In an interview with The Guardian in 2020, she disclosed that she underwent plastic surgery several times since she believed that people only notice and love those good-looking people around them.

"Well, no matter what I do, I'm stuck with this (idea): if you don't look right, you're not going to be loved. So I always wanted to try to look right. I think when you're poor you cut yourself, and when you're rich, you have plastic surgery," she said about her insecurities.

Fonda previously shared her life with several men, from filmmaker Roger Vadim (1965-1973) and Tom Hayden (1973-1990) to Ted Turner (1991-2001). She never married after the three.

After those heartbreaks, she had to enhance herself. However, hearing how she wanted to only find her true love was utterly tragic for her fans. In the end, she realized the mistake she made in trying to impress others.
