Anne Heche might have tragically died after an accident last month, but her legacy will continue to live on as her memoir, which will contain new information about her relationship with ex-girlfriend Ellen DeGeneres, is set to be released soon.

According to NBC Chicago, the late actress worked on her book over the past year before she died on August 11 at the age of 53.

The upcoming memoir titled "Call Me Anne" will reportedly include her personal thoughts on the famous TV host back when they were one of the few gay couples who came out during the 90s, a time when things are a little different when it comes to treatment to LGBTQIA+ folks.

Recalling the time when she "fell in love with a woman," Heche wrote in her book that the public labeled her as "outrageous" and it was her first time dating someone of the same gender.

When she was working in Hollywood, the late "Wag the Dog" star said she was "blacklisted" in the industry for having a relationship with the Emmy Award-winning TV host.

To clarify what she's feeling, Heche wrote that she did not identify as a lesbian at the time because she only based on her feelings and "simply fell in love."

"It was, to be clear, as odd to me as anyone else. There were no words to describe how I felt," she wrote (via AP News)

She noted that the term "Gay" didn't feel correct as well as "straight." Explaining what she felt, the author said "Alien might be the best fit."
