Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) will be dealing with some big challenges in the upcoming Rapunzel episode of Once Upon a Time.

One of the new episodes of Once Upon a Time season 3 will focus on Rapunzel (guest star Alexandra Metz) and feature Charming interacting with her in some way. The episode, titled The Tower, is described by Dallas as "awesome," "dark" and "very psychological," according to a new report by TVLine.

It is "an episode where you have Charming facing a lot of his ultimate fears," Dallas continued. "He's going to have to really look at himself, when confronted with something that challenges his strength and courage."

Dallas also added that Rapunzel will be like all of the show's female characters in that she is "very strong."

The episode will be darker than Disney's 2010 film Tangled, according to a previous TV Guide interview with Once Upon a Time co-creator Edward Kitsis. He said that the Once version of Rapunzel's story is more in the vein of The Grudge, the 2004 horror movie that features a curse that causes victims to experience great rage before dying.

Once's version of Rapunzel will be paid a visit by Charming in addition to a "mysterious hooded figure" in the episode, according to the TV Guide report.

The Tower episode of Once Upon a Time will air on Sunday, March 23.

Once Upon a Time season 3 returns Sunday, March 9 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
