Once Upon a Time fans will be getting a lot of "wicked" when season 3 comes back from its hiatus.

Neal Goes Against Snow & Charming's Wishes in Midseason Premiere?

The second half of season 3 will heavily feature the rivalry between the Wicked Witch (guest star Rebecca Mader) and the Evil Queen/Regina (Lana Parrilla). Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke with The Hollywood Reporter recently about what was ahead for the two characters.

"The vengeance that [the Wicked Witch] wants to enact is exactly what we're going to get into in the next episodes," Horowitz said.

Wicked Witch Similar to Snow White in Storybrooke?

"When we learn more about the Wicked Witch and her backstory and what happened, we'll understand that what she has against Regina is a global problem and an internal problem," Kitsis added. "Those two are definitely going to get into it."

Fans wondering if the Wicked Witch would have a real name can wonder no longer. The Wicked Witch's real name is Zelena, according to the report. Her backstory will be touched upon in a few episodes, starting with the midseason premiere and leading to episode 16's It's Not Easy Being Green, which will be entirely centered on Zelena.

Meanwhile, The Wicked Witch's nemesis Glinda the Good Witch (Sunny Mabrey) will be introduced in the latter portion of the season. Kitsis suggested that they will be delving into the mythology of the four witches of Oz, which will be entirely created for the show.

Once Upon a Time season 3 returns with its midseason premiere on Sunday, March 9 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
