CBS' Under the Dome is beginning production on season 2, and many actors agree about a character that should be killed off: Big Jim Rennie (Dean Norris).

Joe's Potential New Love Interest Takes Him Away from Norrie?

CBS announced this week that Under the Dome was starting up production again ahead of the season 2 premiere in June. Stephen King, who wrote the novel on which the series is based, is writing the season premiere.

A new video of King on the set was released by the network, with the horror writer typing away on a typewriter on the set of the show. Actors Mike Vogel (who plays Barbie) and Colin Ford (Joe) go up to King and ask him if they could kill off Big Jim, the biggest villain on the show.

King insists that the script is already done and says that no one is safe on the show. Watch the comedic skit here.

Very little has been revealed about Under the Dome's second season. However, one intriguing plot element involves Big Jim and his dysfunctional family.

Sherry Stringfield (ER) has been cast to play Pauline on the upcoming second season of the show, according to recent reports. Presumably, this Pauline is Pauline Rennie, the presumed dead wife of Big Jim and mother of Junior (Alexander Koch).

Big Jim's portrayer Norris previously said that the season would explore "sanity vs. insanity," which could possibly play some part in Pauline's sudden appearance.

Under the Dome season 2 premieres June 30 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
