Teresa No Longer Loyal to Joe?

The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, who follow the Catholic faith, are said to be seeing a minister to help them get through the troubles of possibly going to prison.

An insider told Radar Online in an article published Thursday that the couple is "relying on their faith to get them through this. This has been a very tough time for both of them...Teresa in particular is having a very difficult time leading up to their sentencing hearing."

They revealed that seeing their family minister has helped Teresa cope.

"Spending time with her family minister is helpful during a very dark time. She has always been extremely religious and is relying on it now more than ever."

They added that one aspect Teresa struggles with the most is the thought of going to jail while leaving her daughters behind.

"She is having trouble sleeping and the prospect of being separated from her four daughters is giving her anxiety attacks. In her wildest dreams, Teresa never envisioned going to prison."

Teresa is facing up to 27 months in prison while Joe could possibly serve 46 months and be deported to Italy after his sentencing.

The source close to the situation also said that Teresa is hoping to not get any jail time.

"[She hopes] she will get probation or house arrest and intends on throwing herself at the mercy of the judge. Whatever punishment is handed down, Teresa is prepared to accept it."

The couple pleaded guilty to fraud charges including bankruptcy, mortgage and tax evasion on March 4. Their sentencing is scheduled for July 8.
