On the upcoming second season of Under the Dome, Julia (Rachelle Lefevre) will be taking on a bigger leadership role, though things will not entirely go as planned.

Julia Worshiped By New Characters As 'Transformation' Occurs on Under the Dome?

Julia is set to be more of a leader in the doomed town of Chester's Mill in season 2, but she will also be making waves with some of Big Jim's (Dean Norris) supporters, according to a new spoilers report by TV Guide.

Her leadership role will actually lead to a backfiring, as one of her ideas for the town goes wrong "in explosive fashion." The report asks the hypothetical question, "was she set up?"

'Heads Will Roll' In First Episode of Under the Dome?

Based on this information, it could be possible that fans will be witnessing Big Jim vs. Julia through season 2. The two have been arguably the most important characters of the show, and Big Jim might not like her taking over as the leader. After all, Big Jim believes in the destiny of him being the leader, as ordained by the almighty Dome.

Big Jim will be having a big season. As Enstars previously reported, he will be dealing with several antagonists in season 2, from a young schoolteacher Rebecca (Karla Crome) to his brother-in-law Sam (Eddie Cahill).

Big Jim can be seen in the promo for the second season screaming up at the Dome asking what he can do to fix the chaos around him. The citizens of Chester's Mill are shown unconscious on the ground, likely due to the Dome's telekinetic powers.

Under the Dome season 2 premieres on Monday, June 30 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
