Kevin Spacey, who just wrapped up with his theater tour for Richard III, announced that he is heading back to begin working on season 3 of House of Cards via his Twitter account.

Season 3 To Release In January 2015?  

On June 16, Spacey revealed that he was headed back to Washington to start filming for the show:

"Thanks to all who came out for Clarence Darrow @oldvictheatre! What a blast it was to do. Now back to Washington for... well, you know." -- he tweeted.

In actuality the actor will be heading to Maryland where the show is being filmed.

Spacey also tweeted about the release of the DVD of the second season of the show. The actor is known to be a source of entertainment on the set if one were to go by a recent interview Jodi Foster, who directed an episode of the Netflix drama, were to be trusted.

"That was fantastic!" she said. "Very, very different, obviously. But they couldn't be having more fun. Kevin Spacey is hysterical. He keeps everybody laughing with amazing impersonations and dances."

The third season of House of Cards will film in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
