Real Housewives of New Jersey couple Teresa and Joe Giudice's sentencing hearing is postponed in light of the sudden passing of Joe's father, Frank.

Joe Giudice's Father-In-Law Dies Amid Legal Drama

According to In Touch Weekly, the reality TV stars will have to wait until September to learn just how long they will be in federal prison, if any time at all. They had pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges back in March. Their sentencing was originally scheduled for July 8.

A rep for the U.S. Attorney's Office told In Touch Weekly on Thursday, "Joe and Teresa's sentencing has been pushed back to September. The reason is an administrative issue. I can't elaborate further as to what that means and I can't theorize on this. They will be sentenced on September 23rd at 10:30 a.m. in front of Judge Ester Salas."

Teresa & Joe Giudice 'Rely On Faith' Before Sentencing?

The spokesman would not confirm whether Frank's death had anything to do with the hearing being pushed back.

Frank reportedly collapsed on Tuesday at in Joe and Teresa's backyard. while working on a chicken coop in the couple's garden.

His cause of death has not been determined yet. But it is speculated that he had a heart attack. He was 63-years-old.

A rep for the couple told the magazine, "Joe and his dad were chasing the dog Simba and suddenly Frank fell ill. The ONLY focus of both Joe and Teresa is their family right now, especially the girls. No decisions about the court case or the show are being addressed today."
