Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi on Criminal Minds, spoke about his character and dished some on the next season, via a recent fan interaction conducted by CBS.

What We Know About Season 10 Of Criminal Minds So Far

The actor suggested that he had "ideas for this coming season that might incorporate" aspects of his personal life in the show. When asked about which actress he would like to play a new wife for him on the show, Mantegna spoke about Rossi's two wives that were hinted at in season 9.

"As you know, there are two other Mrs. Rossi's out there, and we've alluded to the fact, in one episode that one was an African American, that opens up possibilities for a lot of different actresses to play either one or the other of the two Mrs. Rossi's," he said. "We've never alluded to the ethnicity of the other Mrs. Rossi, who knows where that could even go as well."

He went on to suggest that he hoped that this facet of Rossi's life would be further explored in the next season, stating that he was a "firm believer in the personal aspects" of the show and that fans should be able to learn more about the characters afetr 9 years.

"I can see perhaps exploring that storyline and finding out more about one or the other Mrs. Rossi's and why not?" he said.

The second and final part of the finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
