Joss Whedon's casting choice for The Avengers: Age Of Ultron Vision raised a few eyebrows among the Marvel community during the spring, and now the director has revealed a few hints as to why the voice of Tony Stark's J.A.R.V.I.S. will become the face of the Vision.

As part of Ultron's evil army, which also consists of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, it appears the Vision (Paul Bettany) will have his roots as firmly in Stark Industries as the commander of the Iron Legion.

"It's not coincidence," Whedon told Entertainment Weekly of the interesting casting choice. "And I'm not going to tell you any more about The Vision."

While Whedon was skimpy on his explanation, Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man/Tony Stark) was a little more forthcoming.

"Yeah, I don't think [Marvel Studio's President of Production] Kevin [Feige] would let that [be a coincidence]," Downey said, according too Entertainment Weekly. "Again, it's like if you think about the five different ways that [The Vision] could come together, this one's definitely the most interesting of the five. I was running other scenarios and I've seen it progress over drafts. It was just kind of really good, right from the start."
