His casting in the upcoming Magic Mike sequel hasn't been confirmed, but if he's asked to be in the film, Taye Diggs already appears to have his stripper name picked out.

Alex Pettyfer Only Original Cast Member Not Signed On For 'Magic Mike 2?'

The Murder in the First star appeared on Conan July 24, where host Conan O'Brien asked him to address the rumors he'd be appearing in Magic Mike: XXL.

"Honestly, I saw the first movie, and I loved it," Diggs said. "I'm a huge fan of Channing Tatum's, and I was thinking and telling people, 'How can you have a movie about male strippers and you ain't got no black people in it?' So I started telling people that, and then next thing you know, we're in talks. So if you guys want me to be in another movie, just talk about stuff."

And though Diggs isn't confirmed to be a part of the film, which will reportedly feature most of the main cast from the original movie as they go on a road trip adventure, he does know exactly what name he would use if a call from Tatum came his way.

"If you would be Big Red, I would be Chocolate Thunder Down Under," Diggs said after O'Brien mentioned the stripper name previous guest Joe Manganiello had given him.

While Diggs would be a new addition to the film if he were cast, there have been rumors suggesting that all of the original film's stars wouldn't be returning for the sequel-namely, Tatum's top-billed co-star, Alex Pettyfer.

Back in 2012, when the first film was released, it was reported several times that Pettyfer had a bad attitude on set, and the fights between him and Tatum caused a lot of tension.

"Channing and Alex had a fight while filming, a source told The New York Post at the time. "Those around them tried to mend their relationship, but Channing doesn't want anything to do with Alex."

"He hates Alex, another source told Us Weekly . "Channing thought Alex was a diva on set. Alex was a jerk to everyone during filming for no reason. He thinks he's the star of the movie, not Channing or Matthew McConaughey."

That alleged behavior may be keeping Tatum from allowing Pettyfer to sign on to the new film as a result.

"Alex is dying to reprise his role, but Channing is on the fence," a source told OK! Magazine July 11. "It's going to take a lot of sucking up for Alex to get his part back."

Magic Mike: XXL is set to open in theaters July 3, 2015.
