Nora Durst, as played by Carrie Coon, has not been a major player in the world of HBO's The Leftovers in the first part of the season.

However, as Carter Matt reported on Sunday, that may be changing with next week's episode.

The episode, entitled "Guest," does not feature any of the other major characters in the promotional teaser. The plot synopsis says that Nora is going to head to New York for a Departure Related Occupations and Practices conference, but as somebody else has her ID badge, she signs in as a guest, and then has some interactions with a variety of characters, but none of them appear to be series regulars.

As such, it seems possible that this episode will mostly just focus on Nora, which would be a change for the show. While Nora is known for losing her entire family in the mysterious event that saw two percent of the world's popular suddenly disappear, that hasn't really lent itself to much in the way of story points just yet; that may be changing.

Earlier this season, Nora's brother Matt, as played by Christopher Eccelston, got an episode that just focused on him. It seems that may be what fans of The Leftovers are in store for this week, only with Nora now at the center. The show, based on the book by Tom Perrotta, airs Sunday nights on HBO. It is being ran by Damon Lindelof, who has a co-writing credit on every episode so far. Lindelof is also known for being one of the minds behind Lost, another show that liked to focus on a single character for an episode every now and then.
