Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is one of several celebrities to speak on the unrest and violence in Ferguson, Mo., but he was hit with backlash when he took to his Instagram to call out President Barack Obama for his lack of involvement.

While the Bad Boy rapper and executive was extremely vocal in supporting President Obama during his campaigns, he seems to have had a change of heart. He shared a video on Instagram Tuesday with the caption, "WATCH DIS! DEAR PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!!!! IF YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY SEND A VIDEO MESSAGE TO THE PRESIDENT #DEAROBAMA"

In the video he said, "Hey yo Obama for real. Obama get on a plane. This is serious. These are your people baby. These are your people."

Diddy's comments come in the midst of extreme violence in the small St. Louis, Mo. suburb after a 17-year-old teenager, Michael Brown, was shot and killed by a police officer. Since then, the city has seen a mixture of peaceful protests as well as violent moments that included protestors being tear gassed and targeted with rubber bullets. Many have argued that because Brown is African American and the officer, Darren Wilson is Caucasian, that race is a huge factor of the ordeal.

While the rapper and reality star might have had good intentions in calling out the President, he was hit with backlash from several followers who saw his comment as hypocritical.

One wrote, "So you're going out there as well right? Oh and I'm sure you went to NY too....please!"

Another added, "Just like u stood with him during the campaign u should stand with him now.. Side by side .. U have so much power Diddy.. "

A third fan was one of many to chime in and slam the star.

"He is too busy poppin bottles and making videos from his comfy couch... A waste."

Another turned the tables on Diddy and blasted him for disrespecting President Obama's role as Chief-of-Staff.

"This post is unbelievably irresponsible. Where's the respect for the office? And I'm pretty sure he's President Obama. How about check your spelling? How about this hashtag: #boycottciroc".
