He spoke with Atlanta's HOT 107.9 just hours before the reunion special played and said Heart was not in the wrong when Joseline Hernandez attempted to attack her.

"I didn't bring Althea wrong. Althea never once...If you watch all the episodes, Joseline has been constantly threatening her. 'I'm gonna beat you, I'm gonna whoop you...' After awhile, it just becomes a situation. First of all, who is responsible for her being on TV threatening her life? I've never seen anything like that."

He went on to say that the threats took on another level when the cameras were turned off because Heart would have to worry about if Hernandez would attack her whether they were taping for the hit series or not.

He added that fans would see that Hernandez was "the aggressor" in the entire ordeal. And that is what happened. Viewers saw Hernandez step up and charge toward Heart before she punched her.

After Part 1 of the reunion aired, Heart made it clear that while Hernandez started the fight, it was Heart who finished it.

She retweeted a fan who wrote, "Joseline ran up but you caught that punch and beat her a--" as well as a follower who added, "you better had f---ed Joseline up for catching you off guard".

She also tweeted that she was only acting in self-defense.
