Damon may be dead next season on The Vampire Diaries, but that doesn't mean there won't be scenes of him with his brother Stefan.

Executive producer Caroline Dries revealed that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) will appear together in special scenes in the fourth episode.

"There are flashbacks coming up," she told E! Online in a new interview. "But we will see an era we haven't seen before in flashbacks and it will help tie together a bunch of storylines."

Season six will also show just how much Damon's death affected his dear friend Enzo (Michael Malarkey). Although, Enzo won't appear in the premiere episode, the character will show up in the second. And, Enzo, who won't be able "to charm" Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig), will also have some fun with Caroline (Candice Accola).

"We'll continue to have that dynamic between the two," Dries said. "They will not be the best of friends."
