The Originals already moves at a fast pace on The CW, but as production for episode 212 began on Thursday, things might have begun moving even faster.

Producer Michael Narducci suggested one intense ride for cast and crew with the start of production on Twitter Wednesday.

Director Matt Hastings has helmed a number of episodes this season, most of which have yet to air on television. Cast and crew have remained particularly excited about the last few episodes and the enthusiasm doesn't end there. During Monday night's episode actor Joseph Morgan (Klaus) boasted some "killer" performances by series newbies Yusuf Gatetwood (Finn) and Sonja Son (Lenore and Esther).

Even with the drama's fast pace, it's likely Klaus' infamous parents Esther and Mikael (Sebastian Roche) won't be vanquished at the same time. After all, the framing of their return seems to be the theme of the season and there are still a number of episodes to cover. It's possible one might be conquered before the other, or perhaps the two might join together to cause big trouble for their struggling sons.

The Originals continues on The CW with its second season Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
