It seems like Michael Bay will be done with both of the franchises he worked on this year as news on the sequel for the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie signals a new director and it won't be the famous action head.

Will The 'Ninja Turtles' Sequel Have A Fan Favorite Added To The Cast?

On Sunday, Cinema Blend uncovered an interview from Brazilian outlet Omelette, that includes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form discussing where the franchise is headed and confirming the news that Earth to Echo director David Green would helm the sequel.

"We can say that Bebop and Rocksteady are in the film, and Casey Jones is a character that we love and we're trying to fit him in as well," Form said.

'Ninja Turtles' Sequel Set For 2016 Release

These names have been in discussions to appear since the end of the first movie when the two producers said that they were some characters that could make it into the sequel.

The site added that Bebop and Rocksteady were originally introduced as members of the Foot Clan (the organization run by Shredder). After a humiliating defeat, at the hands of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Shredder mutates them with warthog and rhinoceros DNA. Rather than being a part of the original comics, Bebop and Rocksteady were first introduced on the 1987 animated series.

Unlike those characters though, Casey Jones has been in a live-action movie already with Elias Koteas playing the character in the 1990 film.

It seems like the sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is getting fast-tracked as production should be starting next year for a release date of June 3, 2016.
