Keith Urban was by wife Nicole Kidman's side at the premiere of her new film, Paddington, in London last week, but this past weekend the country artist took a little vacation all on his own.

Keith Urban's 'Strange' Marriage

The Somewhere In My Car singer was seen hitting the beach in Hawaii over the weekend. According to E! on Tuesday, Urban showed off his elaborate tattoos in a pair of blue swim trunks as he took a swim in the ocean and relaxed on the beach with a bottle of water under the sun.

While Urban got to enjoy a little break from filming Fox's American Idol, it seems his wife was not so lucky. The actress is still out promoting Paddington this week and was at the Australia premiere while her husband relaxed in Hawaii.

Keith Urban Revels 'Extraordinary Gift' 

Urban's absence at this premiere was particularly unusual given that Kidman's family lives in that area and the actress has been emphasizing the importance of family since the death of her father, Antony Kidman, earlier this year.

"We've gone through a really tough time this year as a family," declared Nicole in an interview with The Guardian on Saturday. "It's so nice to be able to take care of each other."

When they're not out on the road, Urban and Nicole live in Nashville with their two young daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
