Ashley Greene, 'Twilight,' Promotes 'Apparition,' Talks End of Vampire Franchise (VIDEO)

Ashley Greene is best known for her role in the "Twilight" series, however, she confirmed that she is ready to move to different projects, now that shooting has wrapped for the franchise's last installment, "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 2."

The 25-year-old revealed that she gets along so well with the co-stars from the "Twilight" franchise that they have become like family to her. But despite creating strong ties with Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, she's ready to move on and try other things. 

"It is a little weird knowing that we're not going to go back to that, but I want to be positive," she told Too Fab. "One because I have it on DVD forever and two, I think it's afforded me a lot of opportunity. So I'm going to keep moving forward instead of being sad about the past."

Greene discussed other roles she'd love to try after playing Alice Cullen in the the successful romantic vampire series:

"I'd love to play a villain at some point; I think it would be really fun and the polar opposite of Alice," she said. "The great thing about Alice is that she is so loveable. I feel like it's in advantage because now I can take on other characters and people will realize that that's not just who I am."

After starring alongside Stewart, who played the lead as Bella in the "Twilight" series, Greene will play the lead role in the upcoming horror movie, "The Apparition."

Greene recently appeared on the cover of Nylon magazine's August 2012 issue. She was asked by X17 Online her opinion on the Stewart-Pattinson cheating scandal, but the "Apparition" star chose to remain neutral on the subject.

"I'm not taking sides," she replied. "It's a lot of the same thing with her being that supportive rock for Bella and Edward and not really choosing sides," she said, referring to her "Twilight" character Alice Cullen.

Greene became famous overnight when she played Alice Cullen in every film of the "Twilight" franchise, starting with the first one in 2008.  She will appear in the last film of the series, "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2," when it arrives in theaters this fall.

Greene has appeared on billboards and magazines as a campaign model for fashion designer Donna Karan and her DKNY line. The actress has also won several Teen Choice Awards, including Scene Stealer Female and Movie Fresh Face Female.
