As The Fosters continues with more family drama, some friendships are going to be tested especially the one between Jude and Connor.

Three Cast Members Join 'The Fosters'

On Friday, Fanlala posted an interview with Gavin Macintosh (Connor) who mentioned that things are going to take on a new level for the two young men, leaving curiosity on what exactly that will entail.

"In the next half of the season, [Connor's] breaking even more grounds with Jude and the family is going to see a lot happen," Macintosh said. "It's pretty intense and I can't say too much, but it's going to be a great second half."

The actor also dished on how great it is to have Connor become such a fan favorite at this point in the series.

"It feels awesome," Macintosh quipped. "When we started out, Connor wasn't too big of a character, just more of a supporting role. But now that he's become great friends with Jude, people can relate to their friendship and the chemistry. I think it's awesome that he's grown to be such a popular character."

Connor has had some problems learning how to be Jude's friend due to having an overbearing father. But this is something that Macintosh hopes will change.

"I think a great idea would be if Connor's dad realized it's okay to be different and support Connor to hang out with Jude, and that there was no discrimination," the actor said.

The Fosters airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
