Make way for the Master...or Mistress, rather.

'Doctor Who' Season 9 Spoilers: UNIT Returns In New PHOTO, Who Will Direct The Premiere?

Doctor Who fans won't have to wait long for Missy (Michelle Gomez) to return - the Doctor's (Peter Capaldi) Time Lord nemesis will reappear in the season 9 premiere.

"Everybody hide - Michelle Gomez as Missy was an instant hit last year, so she's straight back to plague the Doctor and Clara in the series opener," showrunner Steven Moffat announced, according to Hypable. "But what brings her back into their lives is the last thing they'd expect."

Penned by Steven Moffat, the season 9 opener will be titled "The Magician's Apprentice." The first half of a two-parter, the Hettie Macdonald-directed episode will be followed by "The Witch's Familiar."

Some fans may be surprised to hear of Missy's return, particularly since she allegedly died at the end of "Death In Heaven." Moffat, however, isn't about to let the Master go that easily.

"I've already asked [Michelle Gomez] to come back," Moffat previously told The Radio Times (via Blogter Who). "The Master is never dead, no matter what happens to him or her. She's entirely unzappable!"
