According to the site, Dornan said that idea has always been that he would honor the trilogy and star in all three of the films.

"Of course she would have read the scripts well in advance, and she's massively supportive of Fifty Shades," Dornan said.

The actor also set the record straight about his alleged horrible relationship with co-star Dakota Johnson claiming they wouldn't have been cast in the first film if they didn't get along or not have "chemistry."

"They wouldn't have shot the film with us if there was a chemistry problem...whatever chemistry means. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn't have cast us."

Fifty Shades Darker has experienced a delay in production and the actors have been told to plan on an early 2016 shoot for a 2017 release.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that the studio is in search of a new director because Sam Taylor-Johnson is not expected to return after her continued battle with James.

Universal execs are predicting that Fifty Shades Darker will hit theaters in 2017, possibly around Valentine's Day. An official released date has yet to be confirmed, so be sure to check in for more updates.
