After making her Doctor Who directorial debut with last year's "Dark Water" and "Death in Heaven," Talalay will return to take on yet another two-part episode from Steven Moffat.
"Recovering from a case of The Silence," Talalay tweeted on Wednesday. "#DoctorWho I am so fortunate to be asked back for the finale S09. #DontScrewItUpPt2."

Talalay has announced that episode 11 has already presented the "most flummoxing challenges I've ever been given as a director," but little else has been revealed about the episode 11/12 combo.
According to Moffat, viewers will be on the edge of their seats following the untitled 11th installment. Season 9 will play host to a series of cliffhangers, and the showrunner's contributions will prove the rule.
"I've figured out the cliffhanger to the penultimate episode of [Season 9]. And it's a whopper," Moffat teased in Doctor Who Magazine (via CultBox). "Ohh, I don't think you'll see this coming!"
