Blue Bloods is having a massive casting call for actors in Times Square for multiple types of characters.

What Were The Odds Of 'Blue Bloods' Getting A Renewal?

On Wednesday, On Location Vacations announced that the series will begin filming its sixth season on July 9 based on what the casting announcement says. The crime drama needs a lot of different types of people in New York to play random parts throughout the month.

The show is going to have homeless types, emergency room nurses, hipster types drinking coffee, EMTS and innocent looking shop owners.

This leaves a lot to the imagination since the series is known for its different stories about crime in the city.

Whatever happens, it sounds like the cast is pretty excited to come back since they created a family over the years, according to Bridget Moynahan. In an interview with Phil Star, she pointed out how she and her fellow cast members have been through a lot in their personal lives since they started filming the series.

"I would say that being on this ensemble for this amount of time definitely brings everyone together," Moynahan said. "You know, we live together for nine months a year, basically, working together. And we spend much time together that people have, you know, gotten sick, have gotten married, have had babies and we kinda all celebrate this different part of life together on weekly basis."

Blue Bloods Season 6 is expected to premiere this fall on CBS.
