Danny is about to come across a situation that becomes more serious than he expected on Blue Bloods.

On Tuesday, Carter Matt posted details of the episode that will air on April 15 when Danny tries to stop a serial killer. Thomas Wilder is going to attach a message to Danny on his victim with something that ought to cause a nasty stir.

Danny goes on a hunt to find this guy and stop him before it's too late. And odds are likely he'll be more vicious than the average member of the police force.

Fans can expect a lot of more fun storylines on the series for the remainder of the season. And luckily there will be more to look forward to since the show has been renewed for more episodes.

A number of other CBS shows have been renewed as well. This includes Madam Secretary, NCIS: New Orleans, Survivor, Elementary, NCIS: Los Angeles and several more.

In a previous report from Phil Star, Bridget Moynahan (who playes Erin on Blue Bloods) opened up on how much of a challenge it can be to keep the work fresh on the series.

"Every script is different so sometimes my character might work a little bit and then, sometimes, it might work a lot," Moynahan said. "So it goes to this ebb and flow of the material. And when you get the opportunity to have a juicier storyline on a certain episodes, you just really dive into it and really try to make the most of it. So, I think trying to go to work to keep it fresh, interesting, alive and new every time is probably the hardest thing."

Blue Bloods airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
