The upcoming Dave Kalstein episode will introduce a new character, and production manager rick Tunnel promises it will be someone fans are dying to see.

"Tech scouting ep#702," Tunnel teased on Friday. "You'll meet someone you've been wanting to meet. #ncisla"

Who could this mystery character be? Lets take a look at the options:

No. 1 on the NCIS: LA mystery list is Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) father. G now believes his elusive father is long dead, but the final scene of "Chernoff, K" indicated that the dear old dad might actually be alive and well. Barrett Foa (Eric) recently revealed season 7 will continue to delve into the series long quest, and although writers have been known to let more than a season pass between Callen's revelations, viewers could see the Russian storyline pickup quite quickly after the premiere.

Meanwhile, Deeks' (Eric Christian Olsen) mother has also managed to remain out of sight. The LAPD detective previously indicated that he had no next of kin, but the original season 5 storyline was meant to introduce the woman who raised the shaggy-haired jokester. Daniel Ruah's (Kensi) pregnancy led to a different arc, however, and it remains to be seen if Mama Deeks is actually still alive.
