Eagle eyed viewers of Sunday night's episode of Cartoon Network's Rick and Morty saw one fan favorite character hidden in the background.

Netflix Movies Added In August Include 'The Hurt Locker', 'OUAT' Season 4 & More

The second episode of Rick and Morty season 2 aired last night, and many may not have noticed a special character in the background of one scene.

After Rick and Morty arrived at Blips and Chitz, a Mr. Meeseeks was seen in the back helping someone achieve a high score on an arcade game. Mr. Meeseeks gives the character a helpful hint right before he disappears, as Meeseeks are accustomed to do. View the cameo appearance here.

The reappearance of Meeseeks will surely delight fans. The creatures first appeared on the show in the fifth episode of season 1, titled Meeseeks and Destroy. They quickly became a fan favorite.

As fans know, Meeseeks are invented with the sole purpose of fulfilling one particular task, after which they disappear into thin air.

Don't expect a huge reappearance of the creatures in season 2, though. Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about Mr. Meeseeks that the creatures aren't making a big comeback in season 2.

"We didn't realize how popular that character was going to be, so I don't know how that's going to affect us as we move forward," Roiland said. "We didn't think to do a story or do anything too much with him in Season 2 aside from a couple of little subtle, inconsequential cameos."

Rick and Morty airs Sundays at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network.
