Fans of Devious Maids weren't left guessing quite as long about whether or not the series would return for a new season this time around, as the show has been picked up for a fourth season on the cable channel.

'Devious Maids' Has Strong Ratings

Deadline reports that the renewal came after the show had a stable performance in its recent third season, launching back in June with 1.47 million viewers in Live + Same Day and ended with 1.53 millions. The season wrapped in August with highs on it's last two episodes with 1,52 and 1.53 million viewers.

"Devious Maids is a steady hit that continues to deliver for us. It has found a loyal audience that is socially engaged with the show," Lifetime EVP Liz Gateley said.

Executive Producer Dishes On Season 3 Finale Cliffhangers

The show's finale left several loose ends that fans had hoped wouldn't be left unanswered with a cancelation. While the over-arching mystery of season three was answered and Sebastien (Gilles Marini) was revealed to be the one who murdered both Louis Becker and Blanca (Naya Rivera), and he was seen murdering Michael Stappord (Brett Cullen)--the fates of two other key characters were unclear.

Adrian Powell (Tom Irwin) was still in the Powell mansion when it blew up-and though Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky) was sure she wanted to divorce him-his potential death in the explosion was a very real possibility that could change her forever. Likewise, things weren't going so well for Zoila (Judy Reyes), who was giving birth when he health took a sudden turn for the worse-and the fate of both her and her baby was left in Genevieve's (Susan Lucci) hands.

There is no word on when the fourth season will air, though it isn't likely to be until summer 2016.
