The People's Choice Awards airs live Wednesday, Jan. 9, on CBS and the star-studded event will honor those chosen by audiences in the categories of film, television and music.  

"Big Bang Theory's" Kaley Cuoco will host the show for the second year in a row and viewers will see performances by Christina Aguilera, Jason Aldean and Alicia Keys. Among the many celebrities expected to walk the red carpet is actress Sandra Bullock, who is already confirmed to be the first recipient of the People's Choice award for Favorite Humanitarian. The 48-year-old is recognized for her philanthropic efforts, including her continuous dedication to Warren Easton High School in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina and the destruction it brought.

The People's Choice Awards airs live on Wednesday at 9/8 p.m. Central from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Viewers can watch online live stream of the red carpet event here at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

Fans picked the winners and voted for all 48 categories online through Dec. 14, 2012.  Justin Bieber has the most nominations - a total of five.

Adam Levine has six nominations but that is combining his work with Maroon 5 and his spot on "The Voice." Rumored to be single singer Selena Gomez is also up for a nomination, along with People magazine's 2012 Sexiest Man Alive Channing Tatum. 

"The Dark Knight Rises" star Anne Hathaway is nominated for Favorite Movie Actress for her role as Catwoman. Her latest film, "La Miserables," opened Christmas Day and received mixed reviews even with its all-star cast. Set in 19th Century France and based on Victor Hugo's classic book, the film starred Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Sasha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter. 

Jennifer Lawrence, who was most recently dubbed "the world's most desirable woman" in an online poll, is up against Hathaway in the same category, along with Emma Stone, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson. 

"The Big Bang Theory" recently hit record numbers for their first episode of 2013 and if their high continues, they will take home the award on Wednesday for Favorite Network TV Comedy. The show is up against "Modern Family," "Glee," "How I Met Your Mother" and "New Girl."

Jimmy Kimmel, who recently went on vacation with Jennifer Aniston, is nominated among others for Favorite Late Night Talk Show Host.
