Outlander is packing two major surprises into he final episodes of season 2, and no, we're not talking about Roger and Brianna.

As it turns out, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie's (Sam Heughan) daughter won't be the only character jumping books. Season 2 is based on Dragonfly in Amber, but Laoghaire MacKenzie (Nell Hudson) will find her way into the story, as will Hugh Munro (Simon Meacock), according to Spoiler TV.

Laoghaire made her debut in season 1, much to Claire's chagrin. Smitten with Jamie and jealous of the Highlander's new bride, the Castle Leoch denizen is only mentioned in passing during Diana Gabaldon's second book, but photos from set prove the series won't skirt her storyline.

Munro, meanwhile, does have a staring role in Dragonfly in Amber, but Spoiler TV reports that Starz was thinking of cutting Jamie's friend from the sophomore run. Behind-the-scenes pics, however, indicate the Gandalf-esque beggar will definitely make an appearance in the second half of the season.
