The first teaser for Showtime's revival season of Twin Peaks has been released, featuring one cast member speaking on the importance of location.
Showtime released the first tease of Twin Peaks, the network's revival of the cult favorite ABC series that aired from 1990-91. While the trailer doesn't appear to give anything truly significant away, it is certainly a good tease of what's to come.
Michael Horse, who plays Tommy "Hawk" Hill on the series, speaks about the location of Twin Peaks being special, and a character in and of itself.
"Location sometimes becomes a character," he says. "There's a lot of holy places up here, a lot of scared places. I can't put my finger on how I would describe it. It just touches something in the psyche. It's almost like being in a moving painting."
Horse's interview becomes voiceover as we see beautiful shots of Snoqualmie, Wash., the filming location of Twin Peaks, while the show's iconic theme song plays.
Then there's a jolting flash of an obscure white-haired man, giving us a tease of the ominous threat potentially lurking within the trees of Twin Peaks.
Twin Peaks season 3 is expected to premiere in 2017 on Showtime.
