Fans may still need to wait until April to find out officially whether or not Jon Snow is really alive or dead on Game of Thrones, but Maisie Williams may have just hinted that not only will his fate be revealed, but it will be done in a big way.

The actress, who portrays Jon's half-sister Arya Stark on the show, addressed the controversy over the character's seemingly apparent fatal stabbing on last year's season five finale while walking the red carpet at the London Film Critics' Circle Awards.

And while her answer to the question seemed to hint that Jon (Kit Harrington) won't be coming back alive, she did say that whatever happens and how it is revealed will be something fans are going to enjoy.

Natalie Dormer Dishes On Season 6

"It  was awful. It was awful. Everyone was so sad about it, and I feel so mean because I speak to people and they're like, 'Jon Snow, is he back?' And it's really heartbreaking because people are like, 'Yeah, but he's coming back though?' It's a great twist, but I can't say he's going to be alive," she said before grimacing.

If her hint was meant to give away that Jon Snow is in fact dead, it could mean he will return in the form of a White Walker, something that is very possible since his fellow members of the Night's Watch who stabbed him to death appeared to leave him in the snow without burning his body to ensure he couldn't come back.

Game of Thrones season 6 premieres April 24 on HBO.
