The Blacklist just threw a twist we never could have imagined.

The Blacklist' Season 3: Tom's Love Life Is About To Get 'Spicy', Find Out Why

Thursday night's "Mr. Gregory Devry" was packed the brim with revelations--Pregnancy! Proposals!--but the shocker that left us speechless was the idea that Red (James Spader) may not actually be the man he claims he is.

"He warned us the day we met him not to trust anything he said," executive producer Jon Bokenkamp told Entertainment Weekly. "Is there a possibility that he's not who he says he is? I think we should trust very little about what Reddington says."

This announcement is a boon for those theorists who are holding out hope that the so-called Red is actually Liz's (Megan Boone) father. To deepen our suspicions, the series creator cast doubt on the only photo the FBI has of a young Reddington.

"We know that he went to Dr. Maltz [Andrew Dice Clay], we know he's had surgeries, we know that there was only one photograph--they don't really know what he looked like," Bokenkamp teased. "You look at anybody 20 years later, they sometimes look quite different."

Find out who's telling the truth when The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
