It looks like Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello's post-honeymoon life isn't going as planned.

Even though the couple tied the knot just last November, they've already been faced with one very serious situation concerning Manganiello's health. The Hollywood actor has been making headlines after he mysteriously pulled out of a charity event because of ongoing health issues that his rep refuses to detail.

According to Naughty Gossip on Monday, both he and Vergara were suppose to appear as co-chairs for the Stuart House Benefit in West Hollywood, Calif. The goal of the event was to raise money for victims sexual abuse.

But for some reason, Manganiello canceled his appearance at the last minute. Vergara for her part has been very quiet about her husband's mysterious illness.

"He is very sick and the fact they are keeping it so hush, hush is making things worst," one source told the site. "He is in bad shape and Sofia is losing her mind. They are seeing lots and lots of doctors but will not tell anyone what is wrong. This is not good."

Designer and good friend John Varvatos though says there's a chance that Manganiello might fully recover from his illness.

"Basically they just couldn't make it because [Manganiello] is recovering," Varvatos told ET. "I don't know a lot about it other than that he's had a little bit of a health problem. We wish him the best. We thank him for all his support that he's given us and, most importantly, to get well soon because he's such a wonderful guy."
