NCIS: Los Angeles is a baby free zone...for now. Deeks and Kensi tabled the idea of parenthood for the time being, but it's a topic that will crop back up sooner rather than later.

The OSP team operates in a dangerous world, and, as Sam (LL Cool J) recently learned, work life can spill into home life no matter how hard you try to separate the two. Life marches on regardless, and eventually Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) will broach the subject once more.

"That's a real conversation that has to be had, and possibly more than once," executive producer Scott Gemmill teased, according to TV Guide. "I think it's one thing to say it now, but it's another thing as time goes on and situations change."

For example, Deeks looming proposal could ultimately led the couple to re-evaluate their little moratorium on new bundles of joy

"Once they are officially engaged, then I think that conversation will come back again," Gemmill promised. "And it's tricky, because neither one of them wants to give up their career, and can you have two parents in life-and-death situations on a daily basis? Is that proper parenting, or is that negligence in some way?"

Ever since Ruah announced her real-life pregnancy earlier this month, fans have been wondering if NCIS: LA will bring her baby bump into the narrative. Writers opted to cover the actress' last maternity leave with a pre-filmed multi-episode Afghanistan arc, but, now that Densi is off the ground, a baby storyline wouldn't be quite as difficult to pen.
